Overview
A client reached out to us with a request to develop an online store for selling Intex brand goods and spare parts. They also required functionality for warranty service to be provided to end users. The client planned to become the official distributor of the Intex brand in Ukraine and establish their network of dealers.
Goals
The customer's primary objectives were to sell Intex brand spare parts and products, provide official warranty services, and establish a network of dealers. Additionally, they needed to structure their website in accordance with the official website of the brand.
Research
To begin my research, I read through the completed brief provided by the client. Afterward, I analyzed both direct and indirect competitors, as well as product features. Additionally, I held a meeting with the business owners to discuss important issues from the brief that were unclear to me. This helped me gain a better understanding of the challenges and potential solutions that could be implemented for the project.
Prototyping
After gathering the necessary data, I created wireframe prototypes based on the sitemaps previously created. It was important to take into account the structure of the official Italian website as per the client's requirements. I then moved on to designing 2-3 design concepts based on the visual examples I had selected earlier. After selecting the concept, I proceeded to the final design of all the pages of the website. The layout was then finalized and prototyped, and usability testing was conducted with a group of users to gather feedback and make improvements. Based on the feedback received, I made all the necessary changes to the layout until the mockup was validated. Finally, the validated mockup was presented to the client.
Final design
After considering the client's requirements and the needs of potential users, the website was designed to have an airy and friendly look. The visual concept features rounded elements that reflect the brand's products, which are also rounded and filled with air. It was important to maintain the brand identity on the new website. Navigation is user-friendly on both desktop and mobile devices. The main products are prominently displayed on the page, with quick access to the selection of necessary spare parts below. To facilitate the "Become a dealer" request, a form wizard solution was implemented to make it easy to fill out a form. The customer decided not to include warranty functionality on the website. Any warranty or service-related requests will be redirected to the official Intex website and processed independently. After submitting the request successfully, the user will be returned to the Ukrainian website.
